Stonework & Masonry
Our granite comes from the Huntsville area where we buy the highest quality better grained granite. We hand select each shipment. Granite slabs are cut, hand chisel chipped and torched in 1" to 6" stone. These stone veneers are designed, mortared and hand fitted into walls. We can also do fieldstone and limestone ... but neither are as durable as granite - so we typically use it for customer specific applications. Our limestone comes from the Peterborough area.

Fireplaces
Fireplaces are custom designed to the customers specifications. We hand draw the design for customer approval before the work begins. Common stone use on fireplaces is theÊsquare block century farm house look, fieldstone look or shaped flagstone. We also commonly incorporate timber mantels, stone mantels and driftwood mantels into the fireplace. Our fireplaces of course are more than a decorative art statement and are fully functional as gas, wood, zero clearance or insert applications. Our code built fireplaces are
independently Whet inspected upon completion.

Landscaping
Our stones are chipped and torched and hand fitted. The steps we build carry you to the top - rather than you climbing to the top. We are experts in making high pitch easy to walk stone steps! Slabs are typically 2 - 5 feet long. We can trim steps with fieldstone or granite strips. All of our walkways or steps incorporate that natural flow of the landscape so that they don't look out of place.

We can provide special application milled cedar rail installation directly mounted into your rockwork. To facilitate this type of installation we use conical rock drilling techniques and post bonding right into the rock.

Sand Blasted Images
We provide the art and glue rubber matt to the rock face for blasting. For a sharp defined edge we use chromium dioxide blasting. We then paint inside the image and seal the rock piece with our custom low luster sealer. Some applications include signs, artistic impressions on sculpture rocks, pet urns, fireplace & building details. We can sandblast on any type of rock.

Flooring
Stone/Ceramic
We do all types of brick, flagstone, slate and ceramic floors. We have patterns and borders for the most discerning tastes. We handle the scredding, cement boarding and thin set. If you are incorporating heated floors we can do that install for you as well. Outdoor stone and ceramic for porches and doorways in full set mortar is a rare specialty that we can expertly handle.

Wood
Our wood comes from northern Ontario mills and we have a full line of samples to choose from. These floors are kiln dried and pre-finished. We have wide boards in long sections of up to five feet in oak, maple, pine & red hard maple. Floor pegging is an option that is also available.
